Advocacy and support

Here at Pro-Law we like to be there for the surrounding community. Therefore, if you become part of legal proceedings or similar, and feel a supportive third party could benefit you then look no further.

We can act as a ‘McKenzie Friend.’ A McKenzie friend assists a litigant in person in a court of law.  This assistance can include prompting, taking notes and quietly giving advice. While the McKenzie friend need not be legally trained, by having  Pro-Law assist you in this way we aim to make you feel at ease in what can often be alien surroundings.

We also offer to sit in on board or other formal meetings to support and help with advocacy if needed, or to take notes and help explain or unpack what may have been discussed.

In addition, we can provide an informal type of dispute resolution. If you feel an independent third party, mediating between different parties, would be beneficial then please do get in touch.  Especially if this involves a particularly contentious point of law. This could be an excellent, and more affordable, first step prior to partaking in formal mediation.

If we can help with any of the above then please get in contact with us here.
